The excess hydroxylamine hydrochloride was added to react with PVA crosslink, and the HCI was titrated with NaOH standard solution. The weight percentage of PVA crosslink in the sample was calculated to characterize the degree of substitution. The results show that this method can be used to analyze the degree of substitution of PVA and glutaraldehyde crosslinking reaction effectively with high accuracy and small standard deviation.
