A simplified dormitory corridor model was established in this paper to simulate the fire in the dormitory and its corridor with Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). By exploring the distribution and change law of temperature and smoke in the dormitory and corridor, the author found out the development characteristics of dormitory fire and the influence of different natural smoke vent heights on the change of smoke temperature, which can provide a certain theoretical basis for dormitory construction design, effective control of dormitory fire smoke, personnel evacuation and fire suppression.
