Luffing radius is the main parameter of combinatorial boom portal slewing crane, which affects the stress distribution level of the whole. Aiming at different types of cranes with luffing radius, the high stress measurement points are determined, and the relationship between the overall stress level and the luffing radius is obtained. The stress characteristics of cranes with different types of luffing radius are further summarized.
