With the rapid development of science and technology as well as the progress in the social economy, the urban construction has accelerated significantly, and a large number of people have poured into the city, resulting in a certain degree of deterioration of the urban environment. The concept of sustainable development put forward by the Chinese government is to use more environmentally friendly materials during construction. In this way, the material consumption and environmental pollution during construction can be reduced in order to improve the living environment of residents, and promote the efficient use of overall resources. Through the sustainable use of overall resources, it can lay a good foundation for the subsequent development and construction of cities, thereby promoting the parallelism of urban construction and environmental protection. In this case, the application of BIM technology for the design and construction of green and intelligent buildings is of great significance to the field of contemporary architecture.
