The main environmental benefits for the selection of the thin-sheet galvanized steel in the production of construction materials that meet the requirements of sustainable construction are reasoned. The analysis of the material life cycle is presented. The advantages of products from the thin-sheet galvanized steel in comparison with alternative materials of similar purpose are described as well. The comparative analysis presents the regional aspect of the use of construction materials.
