BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology has the advantages of visualization and informatization. But BIM technology is mainly used in the construction field, and the application of BIM technology in transmission project is less. This paper research the application of BIM technology in the three-dimensional design of transmission lines. Based on the Revit platform and using secondary development technology, the parameterized model library of transmission line was built by Revit, such as work wells, cable trenches and towers, and the three-dimensional curve fitting algorithm was applied to design the path of the transmission line, and finally the three-dimensional digital model of the transmission line was built. The research results in this paper can provide a new method for 3D design in the field of transmission project.
