The new round of electricity reform in China will fundamentally change the current pattern of the power industry in terms of production, management and operation. During the process of power system reform, the security of the power system will face more risk challenges than ever before. This paper will first identify new risks of the power system in China under the new situation of electricity reform, and then analyses and evaluate these new risks. The major new risks are also specifically emphasized.
