The oncolytic virus, especially the recombinant oncolytic herpes simplex virus 2 (oHSV2), has attracted much attention because of its promising cancer treatment effect. To eliminate animal-derived substances from serum supplemented culture medium, which is an adverse factor for the safety of biological products, this study selected three typical serum free media (SFM) on the market, and successfully obtained three SFM cultured Vero cell lines which could be expanded stably. This work provided a reference for the application of SFM to the production of other biological products or vaccine.
