Epoxy asphalt surface treatment technology is regarded as one of the new type of preventive maintenance technologies. It has remarkable skid resistance function and can effectively improve the service quality and safety level of asphalt pavement. It could extend the maintenance life cycle, and reduce the material and energy consumption compared with the traditional maintenance method. The total thickness of the whole treatment layer is 5mm, which would not affect the road elevation and the potential recycling use of the asphalt pavement in the future. Besides, the construction is conducted at normal temperature, carbon emission could be reduced. Thus it can be considered as a kind of green technology in road maintenance engineering. In this paper, an engineering application of using the epoxy asphalt surface treatment has been introduced.
