In the agriculture 4.0 era, farmers need fast and precise information related to fertilizers recommendation. SIPINDO powered by SMARTseeds is an application created by the consortium of East West Indonesia (EWINDO), IPB University, Twente University, Nelen & Schuurmans, AKVO, and ICCO. This application provides services to farmers such as nutrient status and fertilizers recommendation for chili, tomato, and cucumber. The soil properties database is now available for Lampung, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java. From the database of the soil properties, maps of soil pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are made and collected in a data center called the Lizard. Data of nutrient status and fertilizers recommendation in the Lizard are then sent to the farmer’s smartphone according to their coordinates. Fertilizer validation test results in East Java showed that fertilizer dosages recommended by SIPINDO powered by SMARTseeds application on chilies, tomatoes, and cucumber produced better results in production and cost efficiency compared to those of farmers. Therefore the application of SIPINDO powered by SMARTseeds has the opportunity to be developed and disseminated to farmers so that agriculture 4.0 is reached.
