On the basis of investigation and research, the characteristics of ancient and famous trees in Xinhua County were analyzed. Firstly, the paper analyzed the distribution of families, genera and species of ancient tree resources in Xinhua County. Secondly, the distribution characteristics of ancient and famous trees: 1.the ancient and famous trees are distributed in towns and villages. 2. Tree species with the number of ancient and famous trees exceeding 1000 years. 3. Value analysis of ancient and famous trees. Then, this paper analyzed the trees values:1. Important historical and cultural values; 2. Important medicinal value; 3. High edible value. Finally, some protection countermeasures of ancient and famous trees have been proposed.
