In order to accelerate the construction of an internationally-leading energy Internet enterprise with Chinese characteristics, this paper analyses the connotation of the green development of virtual power plants by combing the green development requirements of the energy and electric power industry. In addition, this paper constructs the evaluation index system framework of the green development of virtual power plants and analyses the social benefits of virtual power plants.
