The preparedness of disaster is important to be socialized as Indonesia is one the most disaster-prone are. One way to improve this preparedness is through education. The purpose of this study is to analyse the school curriculum relating to the disaster preparedness and to find out the way disaster material delivered by the teacher. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The data gained through documentation, literature review, and interview. The result shows that disaster material was not optimally discussed in the school curriculum. The teachers’ understanding of the material were also considered as low. They also did not use various learning media to give the understanding to the student of the importance of disaster preparedness.
