A business district building consists of two tower structures with basements and common podium and is a multi-tower structure with large chassis. The structural layout of the two towers is identical, both adopt the frame-core tube structure system with a total structural height of 156.85m. The seismic response characteristics of multi-tower structure with large chassis were analyzed through comparing the calculation results of single-tower model by SATWE software and multi-tower model with large chassis by MIDAS software. The results show that the seismic shear force of the podium significantly reduces and the seismic shear force of the towers up the podium increases. The vibration mode of the two-tower structure contains the vibration of two single towers, but it is not a simple superposition of dynamic characteristics, which is more complex.
