Because the tunnel fire poses a great threat to the personal and property safety of the trapped people, it is urgent to monitor the tunnel fire in real time, which will help the emergency rescue and evacuation of the tunnel fire accidents. This paper summarizes the studies of technologies for detecting highway tunnel fire and traffic accidents, and discusses the prospect of monitoring the fire of tunnel vehicles through video images.
