Reliability assessment result of existing structures is analyzed on the basis of a few samples, which often has strong subjective uncertainty and will affect reliability assessment result and structural safety. In this paper, belief function is introduced to quantify the subjective uncertainty and analyze influence of different degree of belief on structural failure assessment. The calculation method of degree of belief of reliability evaluation result of existing structures and optimization model under complex multiple degree of belief environment is proposed. Furthermore, reliability degree of belief control method is proposed to remedy the defect that subjective uncertainty has not been taken into account in past control methods. It is found that calculation results of different failure probability depend on degree of belief, which affects safety assessment of existing structures. The degree of belief calculation method of reliability structure proposed in this paper quantitatively reduces the influence of subjective uncertainty and makes assessment result more accurate and scientific.
