Vanadium extraction from vanadium-containing steel slag mainly includes fire method and wet method. The advantages and disadvantages of various ways of vanadium extraction from vanadium-containing steel slag are discussed and analyzed. The prospects and suggestions for future development were put forward to. It is proposed that the submerged arc furnace carbothermal reduction method, the sub- molten salt method, the production of vanadium alloys, calcification roasting-acid leaching, and two-part acidification to extract vanadium are the future development directions.
