This article is devoted to the prospects for the resumption of lithium production in the Trans-Baikal Territory, which can become one of the important “growth points” in the process of reindustrialization and, at the same time, will create new opportunities for improving the standard of living in the East of Russia. The resumption of production of lithium-containing products in Russia contributes to the formation of production chains, the products of which are fundamentally important for the spatial development of the regions in the country’s East. Domestic production of lithium for the development of renewable energy sources will make it possible to take a significant step in solving the accumulated environmental problems. In recent years, there has been a sharp rise in the prices of lithium-containing products on the world market. It is caused by the dynamic development of several high-tech sectors of the economy, among which the most significant is the production of lithium-ion batteries for the needs of renewable energy and the automotive industry. The high level of prices makes it possible to profitably develop Russian lithium deposits. The resumption of production at the Zavitinskoye field will become an important factor in the development of the Pervomaysky town.
