Pumped-storage power plant(PSPP) is a special form of power supply. It is expected that the installed capacity of PSPP in China will reach 90GW by 2025. This paper summarizes the development of PSPP in China, and analysis the influencing factors of the configuration of PSPP, introduces the typical operation mode of PSPP and the existing problems in its development, and puts forward relevant policy suggestions for the development of PSPP.
