This paper provides information on the status of work on walnut selection in Uzbekistan. The requirements for the identification of commercially valuable forms of walnut, which are suitable for producing different sorts of walnut, are highlighted and defined. As well as, the presented forms are dedicated to the creation of new sort of walnut for cultivation in plantations in Uzbekistan.
