Agrifood System International Conference (ASIC) Kyriad Bumi Minang Hotel, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, 4-6 September 2018 “Agrifood System towards Agriculture 4.0 and delivery of SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs) As the Industrial revolution enters Industry Phase 4.0, the same also holds for the agriculture industry. The common characteristics of Agriculture 4.0 are the integration of Information Technology into agriculture system analog to Industrial Revolution phase 4.0. By applying Agriculture 4.0 means increased yields, reduces costs, less crop damage, and minimized water, fuel, and fertilizer usage. These objectives can be achieved by using big data, employing drones and robotics for data collection, using the Internet for all things (IoT), applying vertical farms, artificial intelligence (AI), and solar energy through the integration of digital technology into farming practices. These things benefit both consumers and producers. Agrifood system is an area greatly affected by Industrial Revolution 4.0, including capacity building and higher education in agricultural and food technology.
