The article describes the use of interactive electronic technical manuals (IETM). One of the tools for implementing the requirements of the S1000D standard is the editor of interactive electronic technical manuals Seamatica. The editorial staff of Seamatica Enterprise implements the full range of IETM development activities. The pace of introduction and quality of interactive manuals in industrial engineering are clearly unsatisfactory.
