The paper presents the design and specifications of a modular down-the-hole logging tool to analyze gas dynamics in horizontal uncased drainage holes drilled from roadways. The tool incorporates a pneumatic push bar to advance the tool in the hole together with air hose and electric cable, an electro-drive air control, inflatable removable sealer and a flow rate for gas flow from a sealed section of a hole to its mouth. The author gives recommendations on using the tool in coal mines.
