The rapid economic growth greatly increases the pressure of energy consumption, which also brings a series of severe environmental problems such as global warming, which directly restricts the sustainable development of economy and society.Tianjin is an important part of leading and supporting China’s economic and social development, as well as a demonstration area for ecological restoration and environmental improvement.However, Tianjin is also one of the areas with the most serious air pollution and the most acute contradiction between resources and environment and economic development.This paper studies the current development of energy and the environment in Tianjin region and correlation. The results show that there is an inevitable causal relationship between energy consumption and environmental pollution in Tianjin.The government can promote the development of environmental protection industry and the development of new energy and other measures to promote the sustainable development of the energy economic and environmental system in Tianjin.
