The 2020 4th International Workshop on Advances in Energy Science and Environment Engineering (AESEE 2020), organized by AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre and supported by Guizhou Minzu University, was be held on April 10-12, 2020 via online platform due to the pandemic of COVID-19. Online AESEE 2020 provides a flexible way for holding a conference and enable more audience to join in this academic gathering. AESEE 2020 aims to disseminate the state-of-the-art advances to the experts and scholars in the field of Energy Science and Environment Engineering, and promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The committee of AESEE 2020 was composed by a bunch of sophisticated experts and scholars representing different renowned universities around the globe. We were pleased to have Prof.Feng Wu from Wuhan University, China, and Prof. Dong fang Yang from Guizhou University for Nationalities, China, as our General Conference Chairs. Thanks to the great influence of the excellent committee, we were honored to invite two distinguished keynote speakers to perform their insightful speeches during the conference. Assoc. Prof. Muhammad Shahzad Nazir, representing Huaiyin Institute of Technology, China, talked about his insightful views on Energy and Environment. He thinks that among the renewable technologies, the wind is a prominent source of energy and synchronizing its share in global energy production market remarkably. Considering this context, in the last decades, there has been a fast growth and spread of renewable energy plants. Then Prof. Jordi Arbiol, from ICREA and Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), Spain, held a wonderful speech on Energy Nanomaterials at atomic scale: from growth mechanisms to local properties . Technology at the nanoscale has become one of the main challenges in science as new physical effects appear and can be modulated at will. Materials for spintronics, electronics, optoelectronics, sensing, energy applications and new generations of functionalized materials are taking advantage of the low dimensionality, improving their properties and opening a new range of applications. The talk focused on several examples in advanced nanomaterials for optical, plasmonic and energy applications. AESEE 2020 has solicited a butch of excellent papers with the aim to present the latest research and results of scientists related to Energy Science and Environment Engineering. Therefore, we here compiled these papers featuring the latest advanced studies on the following topics but not limited to: Energy and Environment, Energy Materials, Environmental Engineering, Energy-Saving Technology, Pollution prevention in industry and other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard. List of Committee members are available in this pdf.
