Preface

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember was privileged to be the host to many professionals and academia who participated in the Joint International Conference on Civil, Environmental and Geo Engineering 2019. This collaborative event was organised by Department of Environmental Engineering with Department of Geophysics Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Civil, Environmental, and Geo Engineerin ITS and Environmental Engineering Program Study of UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. This conference is one of our answers to the growing concern on the sustainability of the development currently undergoing, hence the theme Environmental and Infrastructure Sustainability toward New Industrial Era . Aside from Indonesian and international participants who presented their papers, we also invited five reputable professors and professionals as keynote speakers to cover various topics in line with the theme. The selected papers presented in this conference have been peer-reviewed for the publication in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science , a Scopus-indexed conference proceeding. We have assembled a team of editors consisting of professors and senior lecturers with broad expertise in the environmental, civil and geo engineering related field to ensure the quality of the scientific articles that will be published, and they have done tremendous job.
