Preface

The fourth International Symposium on Green Technology for Value Chains (GreenVC) 2019 was held on October 23rd - 24th, 2019, in Ice Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) city - Tangerang, Indonesia. This symposium brought together leading academic scientists, researchers, university students, and scholars as well as industries, to promote scientific cooperation among participants. The symposium was organized by the Research Unit for Clean Technology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), and mainly supported by LIPI. The proceedings of GreenVC 2019 presents the original and unpublished results in all areas of interest. Totally 53 papers have been selected based on the originality and interest of the audiences. Topics on (1) waste treatment and management, (2) green materials and process, (3) green energy, (4) life cycle and environmental monitoring, and (5) environmental nanotechnology, were presented orally or in the poster presentation. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Steering Committee, Scientific Reviewer and Editorial Board for their positive contribution to keeping the quality of the articles presented in this proceeding. We also would like to appreciate all participants attending this symposium as well as to the Organizing Committee, who made the symposium successful.
