This article takes existing houses in Jinan as a research object, focuses on the outer walls of the houses, and conducts field surveys and collections of the existing housing deterioration phenomena. Based on a large amount of survey data, the existing housing deterioration phenomena and the distribution characteristics are analyzed, and combined with the research of previous literature, the reasons for the deterioration phenomenon were discussed from the four aspects of design and construction, construction quality, materials selection, and maintenance.
