This article tries to find natural resources that can be developed into a business industry and able to improve the welfare of local communities. Taking place in South Aceh, this article examines superior commodities that can be used as business opportunities both by farmers, entrepreneurs and surrounding communities. The commodity discussed is nutmeg. In general, this article presents information on the use of nutmeg and its application in life, alludes to some of the problems faced by farmers, presents several nutmeg industries that are already in particular in South Aceh, informs nutmeg demand on international markets and the unique nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) geography and some nutmeg derivative products.
