With the interconnection of regional grid and wide application of HVDC and FACTS in power grid, the scale of grid is increasing rapidly, and this makes the power system simulation techniques face new challenges. In this paper, based on decoupling algorithm and high speed optical fiber communication, the interconnection between multi-SGI(multiple SGI supercomputers) is proposed to implement HYPERSIM co-simulation. The HIL test of Yu’E MMC-HVDC project is implemented using the HYPERSIM co-simulation platform, the test results verify the real-time simulation capability of the proposed scheme.
