Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in the new energy automobile industry due to their high energy density, fast charging, high cycle life and no pollution. However, in actual use, lithium-ion battery systems may cause deflagration of the power battery system due to thermal runaway. In this paper, the causes of the thermal runaway of the power battery system are studied, and the existing related suppression methods at home and abroad are compared and analyzed, and the advantages and disadvantages of the relevant suppression methods are obtained.
