Ester compounds are widely found in nature and play an important role in organic synthesis. There are various methods for the synthesis of esters. This paper focuses on the simple carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid derivative and alcohol react to form ester; the reaction of alcohols and alcohols to form esters, aldehydes and alcohols to form esters, and the synthesis of esters for new catalysts and catalytic systems. The gradual realization of industrialized production has been prospected. I hope to provide more reference and inspiration to researchers.
