The article presents the rationale for the creation of an information system for long-term planning of infrastructure development in the Arctic in the context of global climate change. The system will be focused on supporting decision-making in the interests of the effective infrastructure development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation - the country’s key macro-region, which plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of Russia.
