Paper discuss the elastic properties of helical springs of the control unit of the gearbox 25.01-15-20 SB. During the analysis of the results of the study it was determined that the reason for the failure of the springs was the insufficient difference between the maximum shearing stress and the shearing stress under the working deformation. It was also found that the endurance of the cylindrical springs depends not only on the magnitude of the maximum operating voltage, but also on the amplitude of the oscillations themselves.
