Aviary keeping of wild animals is now becoming more widespread and is used for a variety of purposes: environmental, hunting, agricultural, aesthetic, educational. The article deals with the main Russian regulatory laws, regulations, orders regulating the enclosure of animals, gives a brief analysis and evaluation. The procedure for issuing permits for the maintenance and breeding of hunting resources in semi-wild conditions and artificially created habitat is considered in stages. The scheme of state and public control over the maintenance of animals is considered separately. It is concluded that the organization and technology of work on the preparation and maintenance of the aviary complex must comply with the existing civil legislation, but in the Russian legislation, the aviary kepping today does not have a clear definition and regulation.
