Preface

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to welcome all of you to the International Conference on Mining and Environmental Technology (ICMET) that will be held from 15 th to 16 th of July 2019. We also have the post conference activities on 17 th of July. The mining issues emerge and influence not only the human life but also the environment, on the other side technology plays a significant role to minimize the impacts of mining activities. The synergizing between those aspects would lead to social license to operate and good mining practices. These two main goals have motivated the researchers and relevant actors to engage themselves with continuous discussion on mining, environment and technology. This is timely placed with the theme of our conference ‘Good Mining Practices and Its Application’. It is hoped that the conference will lead to cross fertilization of ideas and act as a catalyst for collaborations at both the national and international levels. I am pleased to inform you that there will be 37 papers presented across 3 parallel sessions. Paper presenters are from Ghana, Turkey, and Indonesia. We have very diverse presenter from Indonesia represents Universities and Companies. I would like to convey our deepest gratitude to the keynote speakers: Professor Irwandi Arif from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Dr. Irdika Mansur from Biotrop Indonesia, Professor Chew Tin Lee from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Associate Professor Sue Vink from The University of Queensland Australia, and Dr. Datu Buyung Agusdinata from Arizona State University.
