We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your contributions and inputs in making this WorkGroup on “Cavitation and Dynamic Problems in Hydraulic Machinery and Systems“ a successful event. The 8 th WorkGroup of IAHR (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research) was held at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, from October 9 th to 11 th , 2019. After the review process, 38 full papers were accepted and therefore presented at the meeting. Many thanks to all speakers for preparing contributions and sharing their experience gained in research and technology. Many thanks to all members of the Scientific Committee for the review of contributions and to the chairpersons for moderating the presentations. Special thanks go to all our colleagues at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery for perfectly organizing the WorkGroup event besides the stressful weeks before and after. It is the close cooperation that makes the WorkGroup a high-quality international but also friendly meeting. Last but not least many thanks to all attendees for their participation. Thank you for your support and cooperation, and particularly for your passion and active discussions.
