A large number of publications devoted to the oil production from the Bazhenov formation was published in the Russian scientific and technical magazines focused on specialists in development of oil and gas fields in the last 5 – 10 years. It is connected with the fact that traditional resources of hydrocarbons are gradually reduced, forcing the oil-extracting companies to pay more and more attention to shale oil which the greatest quantity in the Russian Federation occurs in the Bazhenov formation. The main objective of this paper is a review of obtained results of development of the Bazhenov formation on the Middle field.
