In recent years, with the enhancement of people’s awareness of ecological environmental protection and aesthetic ability, as well as the requirement of sustainable development, the coordination between highway and landscape has gradually attracted people’s attention. How to reduce the damage of highway construction to the original landscape and create a harmonious road environment, and how to make highway construction not only meet people’s travel needs, but also coordinate with the surrounding environment, are new problems faced by highway construction. By sorting out the inheritance paths, this paper classifies the highway landscape, pays attention to the protection and grasps its essence, so as to protect the regional context and characteristics on the basis of combining the innovation of the times in the planning and construction of the highway landscape.
