The 13th SEAGA Conference 2017 was successfully held in Depok, West Java Indonesia from 28th November to 1st December 2017. The theme of the conference was “Geography for Global Understanding: Sustainable Changes in Environment, Society and People” and it is especially meaningful to bring together academics, geographers, government, and private sector professions to engage in the discourse of key geographical issues and share their passion for the discipline. The theme reflects the dynamism in an ever-changing world and the relevance of geographical issues that we face today. About 120 papers had presented in this event and through a tight selection, this event produced 46 papers published in this proceedings. The conference covered new updates on Geographical science and educational geography. Keynote speakers from Monash University, Flinders University, and Universitas Indonesia have presented the results of their research and findings. Related topics have been introduced, and we hope that the topics given could inspire participants to strengthen their studies as well as to discuss new findings of geographical science and educational geography, particularly in Southeast Asia region. It was with great honor for The Department of Geography, Universitas Indonesia, to host the 13th SEAGA Conference 2017. On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to thank Indonesia Geographer Association and South-East Asia Geography Association for allowing us to organize and host such an important event. We would like to thank the offices at UI for all the support and providing the facilities. Our deepest gratitude also goes to The Rector Universitas Indonesia and the Dean of Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Indonesia. We were also grateful to the support and active participation of our partners, especially Information Geospatial Agency.
