ESCUELA POLITÉCNICA NACIONAL D epartamento de F ísica XVII E ncuentro de F ísica October 2021 Dear Participants, On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to express our gratitude for sharing and discussing the results of your research in the framework of the XVII Encuentro de Física. October 2021 was an exciting month, in which we organized five practical workshops prior to the conference. The topics for each of these workshops were mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, biophysics, scientific programming, and the teaching of physics. All in all, more than 170 students took part in these. During the conference, we had 13 truly outstanding keynote speakers, 52 oral presentations, and 26 poster contributions. In this edition of the XVII Encuentro de Física we decided to accept works from all the major topics of physics reflecting the interests of our Physics Department.
