The purpose of this paper is to propose a fuzzy evaluation method for the drivability of new energy vehicles. This method divides the evaluation processes of the vehicle drivability into two stages. In the first stage, the vehicle drivability test experts describe the importance of each drivability index through linguistic variables, and then the concept of similarity between two triangular fuzzy numbers is used to determine the weights of experts after converting linguistic variables into triangular fuzzy numbers. The weights of indexes are determined according to the combination of subjective and objective weights, in which the objective weights are determined according to the conflict degree between two fuzzy numbers for the rating of importance given by different experts under the same index. In the second stage, for each index, the experienced drivers give the rating of the vehicle drivability, and then calculate the weighted fuzzy value of the drivability indexes according to the indexes weights. The evaluation results are explained by numerical drivability and linguistic drivability. The former is obtained from the total fuzzy drivability through defuzzification, while the latter is determined according to the similarity between the total fuzzy drivability and the fuzzy number for the rating of the drivability. We give a numerical example to evaluate the drivability of three new energy vehicles.
