This paper introduces a design and research of stepped wind turbine foundation and compares it with circular spread foundation and octagonal raft foundation in engineering quantity and constructability. It shows that the stepped wind turbine foundation has clear mechanical behaviour, efficient in design and analysis. It is a good solution in terms of investment and constructability in wind power projects. Finally, a practical application of this stepped foundation design in a wind farm in Pakistan is presented, efficient construction, and good economic benefits are obtained.
