The frame is an important component for the off-way wide-body mining dump truck. The carrying capacity of the truck is greatly affected by the strength of the frame. The finite element analysis was used to simulate the strength of the frame under the work condition of full load and lifting. The maximum stress of the frame is 214MPa under the full load condition, and the maximum stress of the frame is 459MPa under lifting condition. The upper surface of the frame near the rear axle is the more dangerous section for the frame under the two working conditions. The stiffness of the front leaf spring has very impact to the maximum stress of the frame for both full load condition and lifting condition, but has some impact to the maximum stress near the support of the front leaf spring.
