Elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis of spur gear under mixed friction condition

In order to improve the transmission performance and the working life of spur gears, the real lubrication state of spur gears under EHL is studied in this paper. Firstly, a two-dimensional roughness model of the meshing point is established; Then the EHL results of five characteristic points in the meshing process are analyzed. Finally, the correctness of the numerical method is verified by comparing the numerical results with the values of the Dowson-Higginson film thickness formula.
