The dispersion of the specific rotation constant of a cholesteric-nematic mixture of 5CB and Ch17 at a low concentration was studied by optical spectroscopy. The dispersion of the anisotropy of the refractive index as a function of the wavelength is studied, and the helical pitch of the cholesteric-nematic mixture is calculated.
