Additive manufacturing [AM] is a technology wherein the product is manufactured in a sequence of layer. AM has found a wide range of applications in today’s world as the need for a process of rapid prototyping is increasing. AM has its own place in the world of research and has been subjected to constant upgrades in process, machine setups and various other parameters. This study elaborately reviews about various methodologies in AM, its applications and its drawbacks. This work is concentrated to understand different methodologies adapted in additive manufacturing process and its process is been discussed.
