A method has been developed to reconstruct the effective frequency of electron collisions in the Earth’s ionosphere, based on data on the attenuation of short-wave radiation during vertical sounding of the ionosphere by a frequency-modulated radio signal. Numerical modeling was carried out based on the Hamilton-Lukin bi-characteristic method.
