Flow field analysis of Ahmed model based on URANS

In order to obtain the flow field characteristics of the Ahmed model, flow field analysis is carried out by using standard k- ε turbulent model and URANS method. Results show that the flow field of Ahmed model presents the transient characteristics of periodic changes, the base vortex forms on the Ahmed model while the fluid is detached from the lower surface, and transports periodically downstream; the corner vortice formed on the Ahmed model is induced by the inclined pats of the tail-dip.
