This paper mainly studies the design and development of university sports information management system. First of all, research significance of the sports information management system in Colleges and universities, research background, research status at home and abroad, the main contents and methods are described, in addition to the relevant technical information system are introduced, especially the C/S and B/S model are discussed, and introduces its working principle, two hierarchical structure model and its characteristics. Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of two modes. In addition, in the management information system, database technology plays an important role, from three aspects of database, database management system and database system are introduced in detail.
